After taking the boat from Barro Colorado Island to Gamboa, I (Carrie) visited my cousin Belle. She guided me on nice walk up the Canopy Tower. After reaching the top, I observed a completely new perspective of the forest and canal! The bottom picture illustrates the Chargres River. The Panama Canal would not have been possible without the damning of this river. The other two photos are ships, one containing oil headed for the Atlantic and one transporting containers headed for the Pacific.
